Alex Godin is opening up about a traumatic childhood experience.

The *Bachelor in Paradise* season 10 star is putting her platform to use by sharing resources for an issue that she is personally connected to. In a Wednesday social media video, Godin shed some light on Sexual Assault Awareness month by getting candid about her experience with sexual abuse.

"I’ve always said if I were to have a platform that I wanted to use it for something that is meaningful," the 27-year-old Bachelor Nation alum began her TikTok video. "When I was a child, I experienced sexual abuse by someone who was close to me. It is something that I have processed on my own over the years and, truly, I am still processing."

She continued, "It doesn’t define me, but it’s definitely shaped how I see boundaries, trust and, honestly, also relationships. If this is something you’ve been through, just know that you’re not alone."

Godin did not give further details about the alleged incidents, but shared that for her, speaking out is something of a therapeutic experience.

"You obviously don’t have to do a video publicly like this for it to be valid, but everyone does heal differently," she said. “For me, part of that is to be able to share and talk about it openly."

She captioned the video with a link to RAINN, the United States’ largest anti-sexual violence organization, which provides free and confidential support services, resources and information to survivors.

"If this is something that you’re dealing with, there are resources like RAINN that I’m going to link below," she concluded. "I’ve always wanted to use my platform for something that matters. If someone can watch this and feel less alone, then sharing was worth it."

Godin got her Bachelor Nation start on Grant Ellis' season of *The Bachelor*, which aired in 2025. Her splashy debut saw her earn the first impression rose, but she was ultimately eliminated from contention right before hometown dates.

Later that year, Godin appeared on *Bachelor in Paradise *where she met her partner, Andrew Spencer. The couple did not get engaged during their time on the show but still chose love over money in the season finale.
