Dan Levy is looking back at the time he was involved in a hit-and-run as a young driver.
The *Schitt’s Creek *star, 42, revealed that he once fled the scene after hitting two parked cars while attempting to parallel park as a teenager.
“It sounds so much worse than it is,” Levy prefaced on Monday’s episode of *The Drew Barrymore Show*. “I was 15. I had borrowed my parents’ car to drive to work, and I was parallel parking and I, at the time, was terrible at it.”

He continued, “And I was slowly backing into a space, nudged the car behind me gently. Panicked. Nudged the car in front. Panicked. Nudged the car behind.”
The actor’s repeated collisions quickly drew an audience.
“At this point, a crowd had gathered to point and laugh at me in the car, and then, out of sheer embarrassment, I drove away,” Levy said. “And the people who were watching this happen were like, ‘…We’re obviously taking down their license plate because this is a crime.’”

The incident caught up with Levy eventually. “And three months later, I heard the phone ring and my mom answer it from another room, saying, ‘He was what? Hit and run? What are you talking?’ And then the silence,” he said. “And I was like, ‘Oh no.’ And then it was my name called.”
He continued, “We won’t get into what happened after, but I learned my lesson. Don’t get involved in hit-and-runs, everybody!”
To which host Drew Barrymore helpfully added, “Leave your number on the windshield wiper!”

As it turns out, the hit-and-run accident wasn’t the only crime Levy has committed in his life. Earlier in their interview, he admitted that he once stole a copy of* Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle* when he worked as a video store employee.
“I have to say *Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle*, to this day, one of the great movies ever made,” he told Barrymore, who starred in the 2003 film alongside Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu. “I used to work at a video store, and it’s the only DVD that I stole. It was constantly rented out and I loved the movie so much.”

Barrymore, in return, surprised him with a DVD copy of the unrated version of the film signed by her and Diaz and noted that she’d get Liu to autograph it soon, too.
“No! You have no idea,” a shocked Levy said in response, putting his hands over his face in excitement. “Anyway, worked at the video store, stole this, and it was the unrated version.”
Holding up the DVD, he added, “If you’re gonna watch it, watch the unrated, chock full of laughs!”
