From Han Solo to Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford has given us a career full of iconic characters, and his fellow thespians are honoring his legendary legacy.
The 83-year-old "Star Wars" star is set to receive the SAG-AFTRA life achievement award at the 32nd Actor Awards (formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards). Ford will be feted at the March 1 ceremony streaming live on Netflix.
In a statement, Ford said he was "deeply honored" by the choice. "To be acknowledged by my fellow actors means a great deal to me. I’ve spent most of my life on film sets, working alongside incredible actors and crews, and I’ve always felt grateful to be part of this community,” he said.

Harrison Ford is set to receive the 2025 SAG-AFTRA life achievement award at the Actor Awards in March.
Ford is the 61st SAG-AFTRA life achievement recipient, following other recent honorees such as Jane Fonda, Barbra Streisand, Sally Field, Helen Mirren and Robert De Niro.
“Harrison Ford is a singular presence in American life; an actor whose iconic characters have shaped world culture," said SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin. "His career has been endlessly exciting, always returning to his love of acting. We are honored to celebrate a legend whose impact on our craft is indelible.”
In addition to "Star Wars," Ford is the face of the "Indiana Jones" and "Blade Runner" movie franchises, plus the star of films such as "Witness," "Air Force One," "The Fugitive" and "Presumed Innocent." He most recently scored a nomination for outstanding performance by a male actor at the 2025 SAG Awards for his role on the comedy series "Shrinking."
He's also collected a number of honorary statues including the 2000 AFI life achievement award, the 2024 Critic’s Choice career achievement award and the 2002 Golden Globes Cecil B. DeMille Award, plus was named a Disney Legend in 2024.
