With the NFL season just around the corner, the release of EA Sports Madden NFL 27 gives fans an early look at how rookies stack up before they take the field.
Florida is well represented after producing seven NFL draft picks in 2026, with each former Gator receiving an overall rating in the latest edition of the game. Here's a look at where Florida's rookie class landed and how their ratings compare to the rest of the league's first-year players.
Caleb Banks comes in as the highest-rated Gator from this 2026 rookie class at 76 overall. Banks was selected in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings with the 18th overall pick.
Banks' key defensive stats are hovering around 80 overall, with his tackling rated 82, and his block shedding and pursuit at 79 and 80, respectively.

Despite being drafted in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, Trey Smack is rated second in the Gators rookie class at 75 overall. What makes his overall rating more impressive is that at the launch of the game, he will have a higher overall rating than the two first-round quarterbacks taken, Fernando Mendoza and Ty Simpson.
Jake Slaughter was drafted in the second round by the Los Angeles Chargers as a center but has converted his position to left guard. He will start his NFL career with a Madden rating of 74. He will also have 78 run blocking, 77 pass blocking, and 80 impact blocking ratings.
The rest of Florida's rookie class received solid overall ratings within Madden NFL 27, with Austin Barber earning a 72, Tommy Doman a 73, Devin Moore a 71, and George Gumbs Jr. a 70 as they begin their NFL careers.
