A source tells PEOPLE Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi have been “hanging out and getting to know each other the last couple months”

Rumors about the pair intensified following Coachella weekend 1

The two have run in the same circles for years and have previously attended a number of the same events

Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi have quietly been spending time together amid growing romance rumors.

“They’ve been hanging out and getting to know each other the last couple months,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively, as romance rumors surrounding the pair continue to swirl.

Speculation about the supermodel, 30, and the Wuthering Heights actor, 28, reached a fever pitch following the first weekend of Coachella, with fans closely tracking their movements and connections. While neither Jenner nor Elordi has publicly commented on the rumors, the buzz has only continued to build.

The two have long moved in similar celebrity circles. Elordi previously attended Jenner’s birthday celebration in 2022, and earlier this year, the pair were spotted deep in conversation at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Reps for Jenner and Elordi did not immediately respond to requests for comment from PEOPLE.

Jenner was most recently linked to Bad Bunny, with the pair splitting in December 2023 after less than a year of dating. She previously had a two-year relationship with Devin Booker (2020–2022) and has also been romantically linked to Ben Simmons, Blake Griffin, A$AP Rocky and Harry Styles.

Despite the growing attention, Jenner has historically kept her dating life out of the spotlight.

“For me, a lot of things are very special and very sacred, like my friends and relationships,” she told Vogue Australia in 2019. “I personally think that bringing things into the public makes everything so much messier.”

Still, the Kardashians star has offered glimpses into how she approaches love. In a past interview with sister Kourtney Kardashian’s lifestyle platform Poosh, Jenner described herself as someone who believes in instant connection.

“I am very much someone who, I am love at first sight type of person,” she said. “I know I am gonna fall in love with you the second that I meet you.”

She added that the feeling is rare — but unmistakable when it happens.

"I have this overwhelming feeling… and that doesn’t happen a lot for me, and then, I’m not the kind of person who can like, gradually fall in love with someone," she explained. "I don’t know how that’s supposed to go, I don’t understand that."

More recently, Jenner has also opened up about her future, including her desire to have children someday — just not right now.

“When I was young I used to say that by 27 I’d love to have kids. Now I’m past that and I feel like I’m still so young. I’m enjoying my kidless freedom,” she said in a 2024 interview with Vogue.

Elordi has kept his personal life relatively private, though he has previously been linked to Olivia Jade, Kaia Gerber, Zendaya and Joey King.
