Is it a true Madonna performance if there *isn't* some risky behavior involved?

On Thursday, the Queen of Pop transformed Times Square with a surprise Pride Month pop-up performance, in collaboration with Grindr, that included songs from her highly anticipated upcoming album, *Confessions II*.

The pop icon sang tracks from the TSX Entertainment stage such as "I Feel So Free" and "Love Sensation" while a brightly-lit LED screen and backup dancers amplified her performance.

While singing "I Love New York," perhaps the most fitting song for the performance given her locale, Madonna made the daring choice to prop one of her legs over a plastic barrier high above the ground — seemingly with no safety equipment on to keep her from falling. The TSX stage is elevated 30 feet above the pedestrian sidewalk below.

The singer's decision to hoist herself over the barrier looked even more challenging given her attire —a pink corset paired with laced-up knee boots.

Nonetheless, Madonna pulled off the daring move while serenading a growing dance party below, eventually pulling her leg back over the barrier and moving to the center of the stage to finish out the song.

Other tunes belted by the 67-year-old superstar included "Bring Your Love" (minus her Coachella duet partner Sabrina Carpenter), "Get Together," and "Hung Up."
