Simone Biles has reflected on facing a life-threatening health scare, revealing that she feared she was "almost dying". On Saturday, June 6, Biles shared an image of her wrist covered in hospital wristbands, disclosing that she's spent the week "in bed resting" following one of the most serious health ordeals she has faced.

"I'm not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today's age," the 29-year-old said on her Instagram Stories. "But almost dying wasn't on my bingo card earlier this week. This was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life. Especially since Jonathan [Owens] was in Indy for practices," she added. "I've been in bed resting this week, I'll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers," Biles concluded. "Loooovveeee y'all."

Jonathan Owens exchanged vows with Simone Biles in April 2023. He inked a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts in March 2026. Back then, the artistic gymnast had said that she was "excited to call Indy home" for the upcoming NFL season.
