The kids are indeed all alright on *That '70s Show*,* *a sitcom created for Fox by creative partners — and life partners — Bonnie and Terry Turner.
In 1998, the Turners invited audiences into the Forman family basement to grab a spot on the couch with high schooler Eric (Topher Grace), smoke some weed with an eclectic friend group, and wax philosophical about the trials and tribulations of life as a late-1970s Midwestern teenager.
*That ‘70s Show *was your typical stoner comedy, and the series was not high achieving when it came to ratings. The sitcom stayed one step ahead of cancellation for eight seasons, managing to pump out 200 episodes. And, proving nostalgia is a constant throughout all generations, audiences were thrilled to revisit Point Place when Netflix released sequel series *That '90s Show* in January 2023, which ran two seasons.
In May 2026, *That ‘70s Show* will celebrate 20 years since the series finale. Let’s see what the stars have been doing these past two decades.**
Topher Grace (Eric Forman)

An unknown at the start of the series, Topher Grace quickly won over audiences with his wide-eyed appeal as Eric Forman, the character the rest of the *'70s Show* gang revolved around. After appearing in the 2004 comedies *In Good Company* and *Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!*, he left the show that had made him famous in 2005, although he returned for the 2006 finale.
Grace then appeared in the ambitious role of Venom in the poorly received *Spider-Man 3* (2007). He later popped up in prestige projects like Christopher Nolan's *Interstellar* (2014) and Spike Lee's *BlacKkKlansman* (2018), the latter featuring an impressively harrowing turn as former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke.
In 2021, Grace returned to television, starring on the ABC family sitcom *Home Economics.* He also reprised the role of Eric Forman for the *That '90s Show *pilot in 2023.
The actor likes to unwind by making fan edits of popular films and TV shows. Grace married actress Ashley Hinshaw in May 2016 and the couple has three children.
Laura Prepon (Donna Pinciotti)

Laura Prepon followed up *That '70s Show* with a few short-lived series, like the ABC drama *October Road *and the NBC sitcom *Are You There, Chelsea?,* based on Chelsea Handler's memoir. She also enjoyed a short arc on another hangout comedy, CBS' *How I Met Your Mother.*
Prepon found another breakout role on Netflix's *Orange Is the New Black*, where she starred for seven seasons as the charismatic, raven-haired Alex Vause. She won a Screen Actors Guild award in 2017 with the rest of the cast, and directed three episodes of the series.
Since *OITNB *ended, Prepon turned her attention primarily to the written word, following up the 2016 volume she co-wrote, *The Stash Plan: Your 21-Day Guide to Shed Weight, Feel Great, and Take Charge of Your Health*, with a 2020 memoir: *You and I, as Mothers: A Raw and Honest Guide to Motherhood*, in which she garnered advice from her close group of mom friends — including *'70s Show* costar Mila Kunis. She also appeared as Donna in several episodes of *That '90s Show*.
She married fellow actor Ben Foster in 2018; they have two children. Foster filed for divorce in November 2024, with continued filings between both parties in 2025.
Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso)

Ashton Kutcher also left *That '70s Show* in 2005 (and returned for the finale) to star in a series of rom-coms, including *What Happens in Vegas* (2008) and *No Strings Attached* (2011). Meanwhile, he not only amplified his social media presence, notably receiving a Guinness World Record for being the first person to amass a million Twitter (now X) followers in 2009, but became an early tech investor in the likes of Uber, Airbnb, and Spotify.
Back on the acting front, Kutcher broke into more lauded film territory with a spot-on turn as Steve Jobs in 2013's *Jobs*. Eventually, he also wandered back to the familiar sitcom world, replacing Charlie Sheen on CBS' *Two and a Half Men*, and costarring with *'70s Show *castmate Danny Masterson on Netflix's *The Ranch*. Kutcher also starred in B.J. Novak's thriller *Vengeance* (2022) and the rom-com *Your Place or Mine* (2023) with genre queen Reese Witherspoon. In 2026, he starred on Ryan Murphy's science-fiction series *The Beauty*.
Kutcher married actress Demi Moore in 2005. The couple split in 2011, and their divorce was finalized in 2013. In 2012, Kutcher started dating longtime friend/costar Mila Kunis. They married in 2015 and have two children together.
In 2023, the couple's character letter supporting castmate Masterson ahead of his rape sentencing became public. The actors then resigned from their roles on the board of Thorn, an anti-child-sex-abuse organization Kutcher founded in 2009.
Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart)

Mila Kunis famously lied about her age to get her role on *That '70s Show,* so she was only 14 when the series began. But the former child actor seamlessly made the transition to adult roles. Soon after she started on *That '70s Show, *she also took on the iconic role of *Family Guy'*s Meg Griffin, who she has voiced since the second season of that Fox series.

Her post-*'70s* *Show* career has had more hits (2008's *Forgetting Sarah Marshall*, 2010's *Black Swan*) than misses (2015's *Jupiter Ascending*), even kicking off a mini-franchise with *Bad Moms* (2016) and* Bad Moms Christmas *(2017). In 2022, she appeared in the film adaptation of Jessica Knoll's suspense novel *Luckiest Girl Alive.*
Kunis returned to Point Place in 2023 for one episode of *That '90s Show*. In 2024, she starred opposite Michael Keaton in the dramedy *Goodrich, *and the following year she appeared in Rian Johnson's *Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery *for Netflix.
Danny Masterson (Steven Hyde)

Danny Masterson's most prominent post-*'70s* *Show* credit was on *The Ranch. *His career stalled as numerous women brought sexual assault charges against him. Masterson was arrested in June 2020 and charged with three counts of rape. His criminal trial was declared a mistrial in November 2022, but in a 2023 retrial he was found guilty of raping two women and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.
Masterson is the only main *'70s Show *cast member who did not appear on *That '90s Show*. He was also cut out of a 25th anniversary display at 2023 Comic-Con.
Wilmer Valderrama (Fez)

Like Kunis, Wilmer Valderrama has a long-running voice-over credit to his name. From 2006 to 2012, he was Disney Junior's *Handy Manny*.
Since *That '70s Show,* he's also had short stints on series like *Grey's Anatomy, Raising Hope,* and, of course, *The Ranch*.
He has played Nick Torres on *NCIS* since 2016, and has developed a consistent working relationship with Disney. He's long been attached to a Disney+ version of *Zorro *that is still in development. He lent his voice to *Encanto* (2021) as Agustín and voiced Officer Higgins in *Zootopia 2 *(2025).
Unlike the socially awkward Fez*,* offscreen Valderrama is almost as famous for his dating life as his acting roles. His list of famous exes includes Demi Lovato, Lindsay Lohan, and Mandy Moore. He is engaged to model Amanda Pacheco. The pair welcomed a baby daughter in February 2021 and a son in July 2025.
Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman)

Kurtwood Smith worked steadily as a character actor for almost two decades before landing the role of Red Forman, the quintessential gruff sitcom dad with a heart of gold — who was forever surrounded by "dumbasses" and "morons."
After *That '70s Show *wrapped, he went back to playing utilitarian characters, appearing on series like *24, Medium, Agent Carter,* and, you guessed it, *The Ranch.* He had an impressive turn on the buzzy Hulu series *The Dropout, *playing cutthroat lawyer David Boles, who was hired to defend Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. He has also done some voice work on *Regular Show* and* F Is for Family.*
In 2019, Smith reunited with his *That '70s Show* wife, Debra Jo Rupp when the two played onscreen partners in an untitled never-picked-up ABC sitcom pilot about comedian Nate Bargatze's life. The two paired up again in 2023 when they reprised their Forman characters on both seasons of *That '90s Show*.
Smith has been married twice and has a daughter from his first marriage. He and his second wife, Joan Pirkle, wed in 1988.
Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman)

Debra Jo Rupp was a sitcom vet by the time she joined *That '70s Show*'s cast, with stints on *The Office, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, *and as the wife/former teacher of Phoebe's brother on *Friends*. Her role as Kitty Forman catapulted her into the TV Mom Hall of Fame.
After *That '70s Show *wrapped, she went right back into showcasing her diverse acting range, appearing everywhere from *As the World Turns* to *This Is Us* to, naturally, *The Ranch.* She was a perfect fit in the MCU as a member of Wanda Maximoff's fantasy sitcom world in Disney+'s *WandaVision*. In 2024, she reprised her role in the Kathryn Hahn-led spinoff miniseries, *Agatha All Along*.
